Michael Legge – The Death of Cool

Reading the following from Michael Legge reminds me so much of myself that it's uncanny.

This guy works in Top Man. He has clothes that hurt me and hair I can't understand. He is easily half my age yet has the beard of a tramp in his 70's. He is wearing two belts. Did he forget that he was already wearing one? Oh, and he has a hat. What a cunt.

My Namesake Is Shite at Crime

Google Alerts informed me today that my namesake is a shit criminal from the West Midlands.

Four people got out and police caught Ian Fieldhouse after he had climbed a garden fence. The other three men escaped. It emerged the van had been abandoned near the store and the cigarettes were recovered. Now Fieldhouse, aged 25, of Willenhall, in the West Midlands, has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after admitting burglary on the basis that he was a lookout. He had only been out of prison for six weeks following a four-year sentence for robberies.

Didn't know this:

A little-known trick (I've only seen one distro ship with this turned on by default) is that you can filter what gets stored in the command history. This is done merely by setting an environment variable, $HISTIGNORE.
